G'day all, It's only a week to go until. Anyone interested in cruising up from Canberra please come along. Once you're there come over to the club display on the day and say hi.

2-3 August 2008. Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Road, Clarendon NSW (opposite RAAF Base Richmond). Between Windsor and Richmond NSW.

Sunday 3 August 2008 is a display day for all Holden vehicles. Saturday & Sunday include a 2-day Swap Meet. More information and entry forms are available.

I just spoke to the coordinator about the day and he said only 4 cars have entered by the due date which was last Friday the 25th of July. I forgot to enter so now on the day we need to all go in the gates together and they will split us up from there. The people that have down the right thing will go one way and people like me who just forgot will go the other way and have to fill out forms on the day and pay on the day and the only way we can get to be with our club spot is if they are nice enough to save our spots for us but they couldn't guarantee that.
We will have to wait and see

Only 4 cars Evan ? That's not right. Shaun entered but sent his entry form directly to them instead of to me. Shaun did call the guy though and apparently sorted it out so we should have 5 cars together.

Shaun I suggest you give Steve a call to re-confirm mate. Let me know please.

I just spoke to him about 30mins ago about itand it was definently only 4 cars, he acturally said that we need 6 cars to get a spot together aswell. What time are we going to be meeting there? I am thinking that maybe earlier is better......

Matt, I just spoke with the guy from the all holden day. We have 5 cars entered for the club and he's expecting Evan on the day to make it 6. It's all soughted and he'll sought Evan out but we have to get there early. We can meet at my hotel which is 5 mins up the road if that is easiest?

Well it all sounds like its going to be a good day for the club. I'm heading up saturday so if anyone wants to meet for dinner on Saturday night just let me know. I'm staying at the Best Western Colonial Motel on March St. in Richmond. Not sure how far I am from everyone but I'm close to the showground!

You'll be about 90 minutes from me, as long as there aren't any other cars on the road. Thanks for the offer Shaun, but I've got lots of long days this week, and plan on leaving home at about 5am on Sunday. Aaargh, I don't get up that early when I'm being PAID !

What a hoot ! That was a most awesome day. So many nice cars, and some incredibly nice people to hang around with. We got a few potential new members. I still can't believe that "other club" won't accept older Commodores :lmao:
I did hear quite a few of the trophies being given out, and noticed that a lot went to Toranas, and quite a few to older cars. Didn't matter, I was there for the experience, and what an experience it was ! Wooooooooooo.

Thanks to all that attended and thanks to all those who stopped by our club display and had a chat and/or picked up one of our flyers. Hope to see you in and about our forums and maybe even join this fantastic club.

Thanks Andy for the thoughts mate. To those that don't know, I was feeling really crook from around midday onwards, so much so that I actually slept for a few hours. Felt like I'd been hit by a truck !

Got home from the All Holden Day shortly after 6:00pm and was in bed not much after that. Was home from work yesterday, went to the doctors in the afternoon and found was told I have a severe case of tonsillitis. The doctor said it is the worse case she had ever seen. Great !!

Still feeling like crap but better than yesterday which is a good sign.
