exhaust flutter

the left hand side exhaust pipe has got a flutter sound about it.is it the cat converter catalyst is breaking up inside the cat or is it something else?any thoughts.maybe a balance pipe will cure this? cheers

A fluttering sound may be a small leak in the pipe such as a hole somewhere. I have not heard of any cats breaking up so I would investigate the pipe and muffler first.

is a near new exhaust,have checked for leaks and can find none. cant be muffler as it is a straight thru or can it?

Hey mate, try your exhaust gaskets, same thing happened to my one.

checked all joins and gaskets.dont know what it could be.right hand side sounds nice and deep but left side has this terrible flutter about it.sounds like shite at idle.:

Same, my right side sounded crap, it was the flange
gasket, it looked ok, but it had a hair like crack in it.
