The downside of trying to keep a daily driver car nice is it's nearly impossible.
I came back to my car yesterday after work and found a note on the windscreen.
It seems a woman somehow ran into the back of my car while parking and took some paint off the rear bar. Don't know how she managed to do it because there is a driveway behind where I park. Maybe she thought she could squeeze in behind me. I don't know.
Anyway, only some paint missing so I'll hit it with the touch-up paint this weekend.
At least she had the decency to own up to it, so I don't want to try to get a full bar respray out of her when there is minor damage like that.
As soon as you get a respray of a bar, someone else will run into it or stones will chip it.
And some waste-of-space ran a key down my rear door and quarter panel a couple of years ago.
I like my car and don't want to use a little junker to commute, but it is just frustrating that you can't use the thing and keep it looking good.
There's my gripe of the day.:violin:

I feel your pain Tiger. There is nothing worse than someone hitting or scraping your car in a car park. Most people would just leave without saying a thing. It's good to see there are some nice honest people still left in this world.

This has to be the one thing that really gets my back up.
You are one very lucky fella Tiger. The honesty of that person is very rare.
Having a darker coloured car, I notice a new door scrape or 'trolley dent' every time I wash her! I just cannot understand those who disrespect another's property or simply don't care.
No matter what condition the car parked next to me is in, I'm careful not to damage it.
It's simply respect. Maybe it's the way people are brought up .... I don't know.
But I admire your honesty too, Tiger. Thumbs up to you, mate. :)
Alot of people these days would have had her pay for a total respray.
