I had a major service done today by the dealer where I bought my car. They called and said my sway bar link kit was on the way out and it would cost me $180 supplied and fitted. I just found the exact item I need in 30 seconds on the net for a price of $20.00 from a shop in Sydney( Oz car parts in Smithfield). Postage is next to nothing and:dontgetit: I can fit it myself so labour is free. How can they justify $180?

You don't go to the same dealer as me, do you Shaun? My dealer (soon to be my EX dealer) charges twice as much as my mechanic for everything. They even charge more than other Holden dealers. Boo Hiss I say!

Lol, you got it wazza. They're probably related chequers? You spend so much on the car in the first place you'd think you'd get looked after a bit better.

You'd think so. After buying my first Commodore from them, they abused me when I tried to get something fixed, and said "What do you expect from a car that old? (It was 9). All we have to do is make sure it's roadworthy". This time, no, I didn't learn !, because I spent about 3 times as much, they're as nice as pie. Of course, it's the customers who are paying for their super nice showroom, and service area, and waiting area.
