OK guys quick run down of the situation........i have recently taken up a 6 month secondment at work road testing different cars then writing reviews on them, kinda like a motoring journalist but not to the same extent and my reviews will largely be focused around what P plate and young drivers are looking for.

so the reason for the heading is i have driven a..............F*** :wallbash:
and i feel sick for saying this but...........I Loved it!!!

and this is the reason why

this is the mighty Ford Focus RS and credit should be given where it is due they have done an amazing job with it its an awesome bit of kit

but in saying that i jumped in my VE after work and forgot all about it :)

unfortunately the write up i did on this will not be published as it is not a P Plate friendly car and it is just the one they got us to write a sample piece on so they could make their final decision,

once again forgive me for i have sinned :(

Brad,
1000 'Hail Holdens' must be said as you bow at the altar to the Almighty Lion symbol.

In Derryn Hinch's words .......

Shame, shame, shame!!

I must admit, the Focus RS is one hell of a bit of kit! If I were to turn, I'd turn for that. You have to say it, it just looks wicked!

That being said, I am going in a weeks time to the reveal for the Series II Cruze and Captiva. Lets see if they can win we over...

Good evening fellow CCA members.....MEMBERS REP here.

As always, your Members Rep is here to help out in these dark and confusing times. Thus I thought I'd drop into this thread and provide my thoughts on this most tragic of events which has struck down another of our members.

Brad, Brad, Brad........It is right you feel dirty, however from time to time, we all make mistakes...we are only human. Some mistakes are small, some....not so small.

In this instance "it's my job" appears to be a pretty flimsy reason for driving a F--D. I feel a more likely explanation would be "temporary insanity".

However help is at hand. A while back, one of our members took leave of their senses and also thought driving a F--D, even just in a carpark sounded like a good idea. I recommend the same initial course of action in this instance too.

In reviewing my "Members Rep - Psychology 101" handbook, I quote:

"Immediate and prolonged exposure to Holdens of all models in order to repress the feelings one may have to drive or even look at a F--D is recommended. The physical interaction with Holden badged vehicles via a combination of bucket, water, cleaning products and vaccum, has proved to be most effective in preventing future ocurrances".

Members will now be monitoring your upcoming articles for the NRMA and look forward to your monthly articles "My Holden...My Life in a Barina" or "My Holden...My Life in a Cruze" etc.

Please post regular updates as to outcome of this treatment and I will assess as to whether this treatment appears to be resolving this issue, or additional prolonged exposure or a more remedial treatment is required.

Note: Show n Shine days (inc pre clean of other members cars to help distract one on the day) have proven to accelerate the healing process in past offenders.

I trust that you have already come to a self realisation that the above is the right course of action and that self treatment has already begun.

Yours in Holden.

Don't worry Greg, I'm not going there! I've said it publicly; I like the look of the FG Falcon, it is astounding and has some absolutely gorgeous lines. But, the interior in it is a major letdown. Seats like quicksand, giant drivers airbag in the steering wheel, and not enough space between the gear shifter and the centre console armrest. This is why I bought a Series II VE! It ticks all the boxes!

No amount of therapy can help me....we all know that. 3294

Yep, I drive a Magna Monday / Friday as a commute car, infact it's the second Magna I've owned, along with the Holden's and the odd Beemer...but the key thing here is that the Mitsi is neutral (accelerates like it's in neutral too), serve a purpose and will never displace Grace from her warm bed.

No F--D has every graced my garage nor will it ever.

Now, time to polish my budda...LOL

Shame on you. Now go and wash your mouth out with some holy water from the radiator of a real car!

Brad, I have to confess ......... a few years ago I was doing some mystery shopping and like you with no choice I had to go to a F*** dealership and test drive one of those like the Holden SV6 .... can't remember what it was called ;).
Anyway needless to say I didn't like it one bit. I felt shut in, the door was really intruding into the driver space just for a start.
Given I had the VE even the salesman was puzzled as to why I wanted to swap it, I had to spin a story as to why like fuel economy bullshit bullshit bullshit.
When it came to the crunch with $$$ he gave me a change over price of $5000.00, I said you would pay me that to take your car???? He said no that's what I had to pay him so I kindly declined and went straight home to write my report.
All in all a very nice salesman but what a shitty car!!!

I feel another 1000 hale Holdens is called for lol

Well, at least I can say that ALL our cars are Holdens. (At the moment) And we use them daily.
