Hmm, I have 2 of those. They didn't cost me that much though! Dunno that I'd be happy with them living under the bonnet either. :D

I think if I put my cats under the bonnet, that the engine would be yowling, Vixen.
Probably equal to one year, BlackOne. I think my cat's probably done that much, hooning up and down the house. :)
Ok, and for the dummy, just what IS a growler kit? Smart **** answers will be discarded.

You're not alone Glenys. I too do not know what a 'growler kit' is or does.

It's basically a cold air induction that provides a little extra rear wheel gain in power (approximately 12-16rwkw) plus a very nice 'growl' from the engine under hard acceleration.

I'll try and help with no smart**** answers. It's a form of cold air induction. It sucks cold air into your engine, instead of warm air, and it increases your power by up to 16kw at the wheels, gives smoother performance, better throttle response and a bit better economy( so they say). Hope that helps?

Mate, its a Clarion with detachable face and remote control. Has about 10 or 15 different colours is about 1 and a half years old but has only been used for about 6 months (Blackone is my witness). I took it out of my old car when I traded it in and the new car I got already had a stereo in it thats why I didn't put it in. The head unit can hold up to 88 songs in a hard drive that is inbuilt. I have some kicker speakers that I had the deck running off when it was in, I think they are 250watts 6X9's. I had the deck, 6X9's 2 subs 2 amps (1 running the subs and 1 running the speakers) and it pumped really hard. I can give you the deck for $400.00 and if I can find the speakers (Ive just moved), I'll throw them for free. You can get a filler piece, (not sure what it is called) from Strathfield Car Radios and it acts as a storage pocket about $20.00. Hope all this info helps.

I reckon you, me and Blackone hook up on the day before and install it then we can go and get a bite to eat or something and if anyone else is interested just let us know. So can I take this as you want the growler kit, please confirm as if you don't, Ill throw it on Ebay. Thanx
Also, not far from me and Blackone, you have the Formula One motels if your interested, I think they are about $50 or $60 a night. Chullora and St Peters:smoke:

Cheers thumpin'. Yes I do want the growler kit, very much. That would be cool to hook up with you, blackone and anyone else who is keen and fit it before the cruise. Looks like I might be staying at jabba's place( but thats TBC by him) so I'll need some details on how to get to your place from there.

Hey thumpin'. I am staying at jabba's place for the maitland cruise. If you want to send a pm with your address and phone number I'll come around and get the growler kit saturday about lunch time. I plan on leaving Canberra early so I can get there and find jabba's place so should have plenty of time to come see you before hand.

Squid's VY

If you get a bigger maf pipe you can do a mafless tune with the growler kit. Not as cool looking as an otr though. I personally want an otr with a mafless tune. I think you get a bit more out of it.
