Spoke to the mechanics and they had just finished the before works dyno run, 203 rwkw. We'll find out this afternoon the gain.

Tell us what you are having done.
Just the addition of headers and a new exhaust was enough to give me 212rwkw. An edit of the LS1 software with no other changes (MAF included) resulted in 230rwkw.
That makes life more fun. Hope it turns out the way you want.

- OTR cold air intake
- 4 into 1 headers
- Hi-flow cats
- Custom tune
- Before and after dyno runs

I reckon he'll get 235+ rwkw.

248.4rwkw which is a gain of 45.1, I was very impressed. It also sounds a lot louder.
Myself and Blackone worked out that it is pretty much equivilant to a 6ltr VZ Clubsport:woohoo: which is 297kw at the fly wheel. My next upgrade will be a cam hopefully taking it up to the 300rwkw range.:bling:

great results you got there. what was the final torque figure? can u post up your dyno sheet for us to see? and what size headers did you put on? 1 5/8", 1 3/4", 1 7/8" so many questions i know...

the next upgrade will be a massive step and it'll be an animal to drive!! trust me!! then you'll definately be leaving those VE's for dead if you can stop the wheels spinning that is haha

Although maybe he was just a crook driver. But how can you mess up in an automatic? The wheelspin on takeoff indicated he was trying.
I would like to talk to you in depth about your mods one day.

How's it going so far? Cam or no cam, you have had a chance to play with it a bit now, so tell us how she goes and how many VE's you see behind you.
By the way, do you have a carbon-fibre rear panel on the boot of your car? Cos I saw a nice blue VY (I think as it was from the rear at a distance) with nice shiny wheels and clear tail lights in the Menai area last week. Looked cool.

At this stage it looks like Ill be getting 400-440klm out of a full tank, which is not much change before the mods were done.

See how it goes on the Maitland cruise.
Everyone will be cruising at the speed limit on a fairly constant throttle so consumption should be improved markedly.
A slight increase in fuel usage is probably a small price to pay for the performance boost.
As I always say to my sons, "performance costs".
