my son has just completed it on his hsv vn
i will try get some pics for you its hard to explain but basically
1 he took of all the front guards and bumper bar etc
2. doing one side at a time
3 did passengers side first ( the easy side ) he tagged each wire with a number on it twice
4 cut a big hole in the side just by the arial inlet ( look out for the ecu )
5 worked out where he need to join the wires to give acess to them
6 cut the wires ( the scarey part)
7 put a grommet in the hole to stop any shorting of the wires
re routed the wires fron the ecu first
8 work out where to to cut a hole at the bottom front area inside the wheel well placed grommet in hole
9 made sure the wires reached each other and the inner guards would go back in place
10 joined the wires back togehter ( all soldered and heat shrinked ) about 28 wires
he removed the wipers and the plastci cover and rerouted wires from the back of the motor through one small hole that cant be seen
made sure the engine started and worked before doing the drivers side
the same procedure as the passenger side but a lot more wires to cut and had to extended all of them over 100+ soldered and heat shrink that had to be done
dont be afraid of giving yourself a bit extra wire length
you will need extra cable ties to hold wire in place
one piece of advice take your time and mark everything properly and double check everthing and dont turn the motor back on until you are sure it is all connected properly
sorry about the essay but once i get pics it will make more sense
