hey guys,

looking to replace the boyfriends tyres.. as they are pretty much bald lol
they are the standard potenzas 245/45/r18

figured id see what others recommend as we cannot afford to replace them with the bridge stones again at $3-$400 each.. otherwise i would :)

i want something that is safe, we do alot of traveling from bathurst to wagga wagga vice versa.. and its mainly all country road traveling, so something that handles great in the wet/dry.. and isnt too noisy! id like them to be quiet if possible.. and not too expensive.

so far i been looking at "federal ss-595 ultra highs' at $205 ea from holmart.com.au
the local tyre guy in town said maxxis at $260 a tyre.. but im yet to find some decent reviews..

what do you recommend? what are you running on your holden ve's??

thanks! Jess

infact my boss runs r20 maxxis on his ve ute and they work great i drive it a fair bit he also had brand new holden wheels when he swaped an eairlyer set of rims and they were crap cant remember what they were but i dont want to but yea he has had two set's of maxxis and they are great

the holden wheels had 1200km from the dealer when he put them on and they were r18's but the maxxis were r20's

Look at Bridgestone Adrenalin tyres. I have them in 235/40 x 18 on my car and have found them very good for $240 each. Better wet weather braking and traction than the previous Bridgestone B530s, but I don't know about wear yet.
