Thought I would pop in and introduce myself.

I have just purchased a VT Commodore with 118k on the clock, and service history and so far very happy.

My brother was trying to convince me to get a Falcon, but i really prefer the commodores.

It has a few little issues, wich seem common such as a sticking door actuator and a the rocking in teh drivers seat to look at..but otherwise fine.

Its the first car I have owened for a while as i have had a history of 4WD's - Sierra's, Patrols, Jeeps and a Unimog - so getting back in a car again has been a bit of a change.

I am shocked at how cheap parts and servicing is on them, and if you ever think they are expensive..just look at 4WD's (especially a Jeep) and you will feel a lot better :)

First plans are to fix the door lock actualtor, seat and full service. Then I am probably going to replace the stock 15" steel wheels with some VX-S(?) Alloys that a friend has sitting in their shed.

G'Day Rob and welcome to the CCA forums.

Great to see you back with the General. Meg's product are damn fine too, so should bring out the best in her.

As noted, a bunch of us will be out at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds this Sunday for All Holden Day. Won't be hard to spot us. Just look for the blue marque's and big CCA banners on the day.

Post that, we have a cruise on Sat 4 Sept to the Mountain at Bathurst "Brock Cruise" for a BBQ. So why not join us on the day and meet the great guys and gals that make CCA what it is.

Just make a post in the cruise thread that you are coming (and how many) and we'll see you on the day at the start point.

Cheers

I will have to see how I go on Sunday (today), Im an RFS member and we are having a display at the Kindi Fete so I have that in the morning..but I may come for a drive afterwards and say Hi!

Yes I did polish the 4x4..usually around rego time :) and so far had many hours of enjoyment with the VT (any excuse for a drive), been learning about their quirks, got MSD coil packs (has a slight hesitation around 1800rpm @ 80km/h on a light throttle), top gun leads and service kit yesterday all ready to go in...and tee'd up with my mecahnic to use his hoist for a bit and for him to give it a once over and stamp the log book.
