The dealer does it generally. Not sure how places such as UltraTune go but I'm sure there is a way. You might have to place a call to Holden Paul and see what they say. I'd be interested to know what they say and how you do it.

It's in the owner's manual. I'm at work right now, but I'll check when I'm at home, and let you know. Something like pressing the "Set" button and then turning the engine on....

You might be onto something there Chequers. I've never been one to sit down and actually read the owners manual. LOL

Hee hee BlackOne, I had to read mine, otherwise I had no idea how to operate my car. None of my older cars had all these fancy bells and whistles. No power windows, power steering (ouch in the VH!), power seats, cruise control.

G'day SilverSV8, it's not in the owner's manual, maybe that's why you couldn't find it. :D It's actually in the V6 engine book. Hmm, hopefully it's the same for a V8. Anyhoo, this is what it says:
1. Turn the engine off.
2. Press and hold the trip computer's ^ and v buttons. (The up and down arrows. I can't draw them with this keyboard!)
3. Turn the ignition on while holding the buttons.
4. After approximately 3 seconds, release the buttons.
5. The service menu appears with a reset request.
6. Press and hold the SET button for more than 3 seconds.
7. Press the MODE button.
8. Turn ignition off.
Good luck !

Did you try what the book said? When my car was serviced, Holden forgot to reset the thingy, so I just did it myself. (Thingy, very technical I am!)

A similar thing happened to a fellow at my work with his VT S pack. The Holden dealership wanted $$ to reset it.
He told them where to go and ignored it.
A few weeks later he had an unrelated issue with dodgy brake lights and the auto electrician who fixed his lights reset his service computer for him at no extra charge.

It's in the service book, the one where the dealer rips out the coupons.......

I have done it myself to my VTSS. The instructions are in the owner's manual. Surely they must be in a VY manual.

It's all there in black and white, in the Service booklet, that's for VY, Monaro and WK series models. I've done it myself, when Mui--- uh, my dealer forgot to reset the thingy once.

In our workshop we actually have a book stating every service warning light reset code.
Not too sure on where to pick up these books I've just been snabbing them each time one gets annihalated in shit.
What purple power has up above is correct for the vt-vz however from vz onwards it gets a bit tricky and the genuine holden scanner is the easiest way for sure.
Make friends with the service manager or foreman of your local dealership and undoubtably they can do it after hours for you at a relativly low price (couple 6 packs)

Hi dgvxII,
I had my VE serviced recently, and they didn't reset the computer, because it was serviced early. When the warning came up, I took it back to the stealership, and they reset it free. It's much the same as in the VY. Hold the reset button down, turn on the ignition, then follow the prompts. :) Eeeeeasy!
