Hi, Mate you can buy the actual colour from Autolac Paint Supplies in Sydney or Cardiff .you can rub down where you want to paint mask off and use a two pak primer say two coats let dry then rub primer back till smooth. Then paint in two pak paint, its called base coat let dry then don't rub just paint clear over the top.Yeh a bit more involved but if you want it to last it's the proper way. might cost a little more but better than Autobahn.

Im just a tad worried that if i go to holden or get someone like autobarn to mix up the colour that it wont last with the heat

do you know if this is the case or will it be fine??

Hi.
A mate of mine painted my engine covers for my SS in voodoo blue.
I got the paint from peps auto parts, they turned out tops. All you need to do is once you painted them, spray clear coat on them, and then its all good, we did it all from pressure cans.
Hope this helps you mate.
Cheers.
Nick.

I went to peps at wetherill park, they are located on the Horsley Drive.
1 can will do it, also 1 can of clear, also ask what they would recomend for a base coat, before you spray the covers in voodoo.
Hope this helps, let us know how you go.
Cheers.
Nick.

Ok so engine cover is painted turned out awesome (Voodoo Blue with sparkling silver highlights)

but now im thinking of painting all the plastic silver bits in the interior i.e Door handles, stereo/air con knobs, Strip of silver across the dash, steering wheel

What you guys reckon??

P.S if anyone knows how to use photoshop and could maybe get an idea for me that'd be great :)

dont paint the interior your self if you want the interior done right take it to a interior shop

from what i have seen all paint in interiors flakes off as it is not plastic like your engine cover it is mostly vinyl and wont sand back to easy

the painted interiors you see in the mags are most of the time metal dashes or sometimes fiberglass
