View Full Version : Do you name your car?

If so, what, and why?

My first car was a Chrysler Sigma called Manuel, because he was manual.
My second car was a Mitsubishi Sigma, called Ziggy.
(anyone rolling their eyes yet?)
My third car was a VH Commodore called Frank- short for Franklin. There were no frills about that car.
My fourth car was a Nissan Pintara called Larry, because the price was right.
My fifth car is my VY Commodore called Basil, because he's FAWLTY !

I named mine Vixen.
Coz she's a foxy looking car and owned by a Gal.

My car is named Pink Bits, My partner, Mark, put pink grills in it as a valentine's Day thing, and now my car is known for it, and I am stuck with it! lol

As for naming cars, I'm not into that in a big way. But I did have a 1958 VW which a mate of mine called God beacause it moved in mysterious ways. And I had a Benz S class which I called Herman because it was German. The Commodore I just refer to as "the Mother Ship" because it's the fastest car in the family at present.

She's Ravens Mica though, not 'purple'!!! LOL

Careful ... you might get Louise wanting to put 'purple bits' on her!!! :eek:

Sorry, Vixen6, but I am a man and colours like that mean nothing to men. We know red, blue, black, green, etc but colours like taupe, chartreuse, peach whisper and stuff like that mean nothing to us. And it bemuses me that there can be 24 shades of white. White is white for pity's sake.
My car is Tiger Mica in colour. What a name. Doesn't mean it's got stripes. It's basically an orangy gold with glitter. Why didn't they call it something like "Orangy Gold Metallic"?
Still like your car.

My car is actually all different colours in one. Some think it's black, some blue and others...yes...think it's purple!!

Like the handcuffs ... it keeps 'em guessing.

Hee hee @ some of those names. A friend of mine has a Mazda (but I still like her) and she calls it the Mazda bater. :D

Nope, the Mazda bater is silver. You're right though, it should be pink, or purple..... LOL.

My baby is named Roxanne.My wife is a HUGE Baz Luhrmann fan and when we went to see Moulin Rouge there is a very seductive version of The Police song by that name and, since my car seduced me, that's her name!
