ajusting hand brake

hi guys, can a vz hand brake be ajusted or do i have to fitt new brake pads.

can,t see any ajustment on the cable anywear ?

You should never adjust the handbrake at the cable. All this does is stretch the cable even more than it already is and ends up wearing the handbrake shoes unevenly, whereby when they are adjusted correctly at the wheels through the adjuster hole in the discs it causes the shoes to rub on the discs and cause noise. The handbrake should only be EVER adjusted through the discs and then any slackness on the cable is taken out with the adjuster nut.
