3 parrots lived in an aviary. Each one had his own little house with his own little chute which they would slide down each morning to meet together at the food bowl for breakfast. Each chute had a little door at the bottom which would pop open just as each bird reached it so that insects would not get in'
After spending the day together, the 3 mates would fly back to their houses to sleep and the following morning would jump into their little chutes and zoom down to the feed bowl again.
One morning only 2 of the parrots appeared at the feed bowl,
"Where's Bill?" said one.
"Oh, he's dead." said the other.
"But what happened to him?" said the first.
The second one looked at him and said, "I'm afraid his parrot chute failed to open."
