last few days my steering has been "actin a fool" it gets like a slaving hydraulic noise inside the car when steering, cant be heard outside thou, there also seems to a be a clicking noise in the steering rack (which i had replaced 2 years ago under warranty) checked the fluid all is fine car seems to handle and steer fine, i know the belt needs replacing as it slips (squeels) when im getting rite into the throttle during a/s changes im a bit worried as someone suggested it maybe a vacum problem..
i was putting the engine covers on the other day after cleaning them and degreasing the engine it hit the vacum line on the brake booster and it made like a pressure release sound (kinda like a blow off valve, not so loud thou) did a few high speed braking runs and obstacle courses all seemed okay
might take it into holden in the next couple of days it couldnt of come at a worse time i have rego due in the next few days(dont have to have a roadworthy done yet as the car isnt that old) itss just the cost, rego alone will take $1500 off me and i know how holden likes to charge an arm and a leg im also a couple of hundred k's from home at my better halfs mums place

i own a 1985 subaru and have done for 4 years now (currently rally spec and ureg'd) and the only problem ive had with it is cv's and a heater box and radiator leak just goes to show cars these days arent built to last come december i highly doubt ill be flying the holden flag ive spent $50 000+ on it including purchase and it just seems the money doesnt stop lol
thats my whine for the day

Hopefully it's something easy to fix. Your rego is expensive. They sure know how to hit the old hip pocket.

You're right about them costing all the time. You think that by buying a newer, expensive car you'll get fewer problems. Not so. :(

power steering is simular to driving a boat those of you who have driven a Vz know the steering is quite heavy feeling and you get feedback from the road
the zed is gunna go under the knife tommorow and hopefully will come out problem free for a while gonna get them to do tranny fluid while they at it and check the diff
they can also adjust the toe back to zero to stop annoying tyre wear (was informed of how to do so but CBF )
been looking at 4x4's for the last few months looking at buying a Nissan patrol 4.2L turbo diesel something that the "mountain" wont kill
