One of our members "Nugget Boy" is in the process of building his very own version of a factory optioned vehicle (think of Walkinshaw, SS, HDT, Calais, Berlina).
The name has been derived from the Berlina/Executive base model that he is starting out with. Then the Calais options that he will be fitting along with a few little unique extras along the way.

I am currently in the process of restoring an old VL commodore, I will post up pics soon...
She is an old executive which was neglected too much and has now been updated with full calais interior and electrics. What I mean by this is I completely stripped out the interior and installed a full dash and body harness from a series 2 calais including the fuse box.

Here are the pictures before he started:

Hi Guys, I have to apologise for my abscence. The build is certainly taking up some time. That and also planning for holidays!! Oh, and also work!! It never ends!!

Anyway, I have added some more pics for you to see, took me a while to figure out how to mod the pics to upload. This is the first forum I have used...

Just to correct, but firstly thanks to Munky for uploading my first pics!! The car's name is actually spelt "CALABER" AS you know CALAIS and BERLINA.

It is a much bigger project than my original some years ago, but a labour of love it is!!

Well by the time she is registered the paint will be terrible, but I don't care I just want to get her on the road and worry about the paint later...

I will post up some more in the coming days for you to see!!

Thanks for your comments!!

P.S. any suggestions please let me know...

Sorry for misspelling the name of the Calaber Nugget Boy, I'm glad that you have found the forums again. I can't wait to have a vehicle worthy of putting pictures of my build progress onto the forums as well.
Until then I'll keep typing......

Looks good mate. Those VS door pods look good on it, the paint colour matches quite well.

All the interior plastics including the door pods I have repainted myself in the 25I trim colour.
I will be taking more pictures of the interior as I have just installed some custom seat covers to protect the trim whilst maintaining the intergity of the "Calais" interior... The exterior moulds are painted silver, just when I took these photos I had not put them on. So to paint a further picture for you all, the silver moulds upper and lower which have been repainted in asteriod silver will be going on so I will be looking for some Calais side skirts to go on the car as well, additionally I have repainted chaser wheels in asteriod silver which will have chrome centre caps and chrome wheel trims. I will take some more photos over the weekend and post them up... Thanks for the support guys, really appreciated!! I have spoken with Munky in the last couple of days and I will try to make it to the next meet...

Great to hear the project is coming along nicely there Daniel.

It would be great if you can make it to the Maitland Gaol Tour on the 19th April. With or without your car, doesn't matter mate. Plenty of room in other cars. Let me know as we need to confirm total numbers and have peoples money paid before 5th April.
