A woman woke up in bed in the middle of the night to find her husband was not in bed next to her. She heard a soft noise so she went downstairs to investigate.
When she got downstairs she saw her husband sitting in the living room crying quietly. Naturally she went over to see what was wrong.
She: "Oh, darling, why are you crying? What has upset you?"
He: "I was just thinking about the time we first met."
She: "But that's so romantic. Is it that which has got you so emotional?"
He: "Yes. Remember that night when you were 15 and I was 18 and we were making love in the back of my car?"
She:(all gooey-eyed now) "Oh yes, sweetheart, I do."
He:"and remember when your father caught us and said he'd send me to prison for 20 years if I didn't marry you?"
She:"Yes, why would that make you cry?"
He: "Well, I would have got out today!"
