A little about the day.............................

After Sunday morning cruise up through Cattai, Sackville and East Kurrajong, we'll end up at McMahons Park for a day in the park, which will be known as the "CCA Kids Cruise".

This cruise is what CCA is about, families. So why not spend the day in the park with your kids, grandkids or those who just refuse to to grow up!

Apart from being a nice old fashioned country style park, there is a large oval, a play ground and plenty of room for the kids and parents for that matter, to run around and enjoy themselves.


On the day we will be having sack races, “Pin the parking ticket on the F—D”, a piñata for something a little sweet, some kite flying and other great games for both kids and the young at heart to play.


Whilst this day is about the CCA’s of kids, it will also be a great opportunity for all members and guests to kick back and relax on the day. We’ll be taking the BBQ, so we’ll be doing the CCA $10.00 Special BBQ. Just need to BYO drinks.

The drive from Penrith is approx 65k and should take approx 1 to 1.5 hours at an easy pace to have us at McMahons Park by 10.00 / 10.30am.

Hey Greg, ?, that Macca's is that the one that isn't open. If it's the one that kinda on the corner, it's closed, perhaps for a refurbish. There are a couple of other ones nearby though, one near Barbie, the other one on Mulgoa Rd, near Panthers.

Hey guys,

The Maccas we are using will be open well and truely by that time. As far as I'm aware, and judging by the looks of the construction, it will have a McCafe in it (I think don't quote me), so we should be right. If anything, we could use the Maccas outside Panthers as it shouldn't be very busy at that time of day.

As for the cruise, put me down for it for sure! Would love to take a cruise up the mountains.

What a fantastic day was had by one and all. The weather was on our side as was the fun and games which was enjoyed by both young and old.

CCA's resident "Big Kid", Ladybird was in her element today as she led the kids through endless games and songs. Our thanks to Ladybird (aka Esther) for all her hard work in the lead up to today (including a few cakes) and her good humour and energy today which keep the kids on the go and amused. Quite the fashion statement too I might add!!! LOL

Thanks also to Miss Red Ice (aka Barb) for all her work in arranging the logistics for today and the "Loot Bags" for the kids, and to Miss Billygoat (aka Di) for her cup cakes. Yum Yum

Whilst today was about getting out and having a fun day with the "Kids of CCA", we also meet some new friends who joined us for their first cruise today. Robin and Brad, we hope to see you both back again soon. Wayne, Alison, Allan plus Greg & his Brady bunch all joined us for their second cruise. Thanks for coming out with us again and we hope that we'll see you in a Club shirt in the not too distant future.

A big thanks to Michelle, Craig, Trinette, Richie and Stacey (& William of course) who all got up at o'dark 30 and came down from west of the mountains today for this cruise. Thanks guys.

Pictures will most certainly be posted in the coming hours and days (cos they were plenty taken!!!!), but they just won't fully convey what a great day it was. It was SENSATIONAL. Already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

Guys and girls, another great day had by all today at the Kids Cruise. I must admit, its events like these that really define who we are as a club and while I may not have any offspring of my own at the moment, I'm sure all the kids (and the slightly older kids :D:D:D) had a great day.

Being my first cruise i was a bit nervous on arrival but straight away everyone made me feel like i had been there from the start. I had a great day meeting and chatting with everyone (i just wish i could of stayed longer....definitely next time though) :)
