Don't really like the new Falcon mate.
Looks like it's still the same car with some new body panels, head and tail lights, etc... and a change of lines. Interior has had a big makeover and I see the speedo/tacho look very similar to the VE. It certainly doesn't look like a car that has been built from the ground up and 'all-new model' as they claim.
The bulge on the bonnet of the XR's looks bloody retarded !! It just doesn't look right at all. Overall, I must admit it does look better than the previous model however I don't think it Holden have anything to worry about and I certainly won't be trading in my VE for a Ford anytime now or in the future.

You tell me which looks better. I reckon the VE looks tough as compared to the new XR8.

I'd have to see them on the road, but the VE sure has the more aggressive look about it, much like a bigger BMW who first did the flared front guard thing. The VE is all flares and angles and chunky stuff and reminds me of something out of the movie Mad Max. Very macho.

The big question will be, how does it GO ? If it is built with their usual build quality, it still won't sell unless it goes like s*** off a shovel, but that still may not save it. Look what happened to Alfa in the 70's. Potentially great cars but you had to turn the radio up to drown out the sound of the thing rusting.
Looks like the Commodore will still have the goods.

Vixen,
Surely you are not biased! I don't believe it! No it can't be! I'm sure your opinions must be just as fair and balanced as everyone else on this forum. You couldn't be so one-eyed as to favour one make over another?
Ummmmm........you're treasurer of which club again??
