Ok, ok, my car has mutiple problems. NOT my fault!
The driver's seat has come away from the base, as in, the cushion has moved away, and I can see the wiring etc.
I'm no skinny minnie, but I've seen people bigger than me driving Commodores! Is it common? Bet it's not covered by my warranty!

Haven't come across that one before, but a friend of mine who is showing the effects of a lifetime beer diet has had several seat backs break on him in Commodores and Monaros.

Don't you hate it when a car repairer says to you "yeah, they all do that" when you think the problem is a one-off?

Nah haven't heard of that problem Chequers but I'd certainly try and get it fixed under warranty mate because it definitely should be like that !

Keep us posted mate.

Shall do. I'm so sick of this car. It was my dream car, and in the first 14 months I owned it, it had to go back 13 times for repairs. That's the last car I ever buy from that dealer. They treated me like crap last time I bought a car from them.
I LOVE my Red Hot VY's though, and this is the only one I've ever had trouble with.
Thanks guys. :)

Well I hate to say Chequers, but I guess you do get a bad one now and again. I really do hope your problems get sorted and you can get back to driving and enjoying your car mate.

Thanks Black One. I've hired a heap of red hot VYII's, and this is the only one that's given me any trouble. Only other less than excellent one, was a white one with no get up and go.

chequers, if its the side of the seat where the electrics are. u have either broke the clip or the screw has come loose under the seat that holds the side of the seat trim 2 the cushion.

Someone from Muirs had a look at my seat today and he said "OH, I've never seen a seat do that before!". Gee, that felt good. :( He said the actual um trim? The plastic base thingy has actually come away from the cushion. "Only" $42 to fix it, but I'm going to ask if it's covered by the warranty. Fat chance.

:money:gee chequers, thats wat i said. not a bad guess, $42 sounds abit steep just 2 put a washer on a screw and tighten it. if it is broken. ya wouldnt get a new part that cheap. i would try gettin a second opinion.:feedback: take it 2 a local panel beater, may only cost ya $20. good luck there my friend :D

You don't work for my local Holden dealer do you Jason? They said it's the actual trim, plasticy thingy that's come away from the cushion, and that's the price they quoted for that bit. I need to go to my panel beater anyway, to fix all the little scratches in it. I used to be one of his best customers :D So he looks after me.

Glenys, a lot of this stuff should be covered under warranty I would have thought.

I strongly suggest taking it to a different dealership other than Muirs. I would recommend taking it to Suttons at Rosebery. Speak to John Hitti or Olivia and mention my name. Tell them I sent you and they should look after you.

You know what these dealers are like Matt. Charge you way too much for a car, then charge your first born for the first service, then an arm and leg for each following one. Then when you're out of children and limbs, they take blood.
Do I need your last name for the people at Suttons? That's where my next car's coming from.... provided they have one in stock. :)

Oh, and this is what I did with my last Bombadore, on the plastic thingy around the numberplate it said "People trust Muirs". So I blacked out the word People, and wrote in Don't. :D
