G'day

I have a VN commodore that I am chasing wilwood calipers for. Has anyone fitted them.
If not can anyone tell me the size of the pistons in the front and rear calipers, I can then cross reference them with wilwood.

Cheers

WOW........ The Wilwood set up cost's around $6000 for a full set and, depending on how big you go, will need min 17's......

What are you planning to do with the car?? track/strip/tarmac rally????

Its just a streeter. I have 343mm discs and 20inch rims, I just want to find out what wilwood caliper would suit the hydraulics of the master cylinder. I can manufacture brackets to fit.

Dude, that's some serious over braking there........ I'd just be sticking with a nice set of painted VE calipers & 322mm V8 rotors on a street car. Upgrade to a VT booster & 1" master cylinder (all VN V8 models have them as standard) and you will have a really good set up that will be more than enough for the street.

Going to the Wilwood set up will be way to much & you will never be able to get enough heat into them on the street for them to be effective & it could end up severly hindering your overall braking ability. Not to mention that if you could get the heat into them, they will easily over brake your tyres & you will lock up everytime you think about touching them.

But if that's the way you really want to go, then I would be giving rocket ind. a call & they should be able to tell you which caliper to use with the rotors you have & what brackets will need to be made/ordered. Another couple of one's to check out to would be AP racing & alcon.
