i'm jason, i'm from S.A too.

i drive a 2001 VXSS it's red of course. it's making about 290rwkw.

mods i've done to it include;

1 5/8" advanced try-y ceramic coated headers. twin hi-flo cats and full stainless exhaust twin 2 1/2" into single 3" with 2 hot dogs and a resonator in the rear try to keep it quiet!!
lowered 2", otrcai, 78mm TBA throttle body, valve springs, push rods, retainers, double row timing chain, 25% underdrive pulley and of course the cam. it's a crow 229/232 with a 110lsa mmmm lumpy. brand new fully built 4L65e auto trans, 2800rpm hi-stall convertor, slotted rotors and full kenwood stereo set-up.

thought i would pop in and say hello. the forum looks killer guys well done, as does the club. i will definately be keeping an eye on you guys as there could be a move on the cards soon if my mrs gets the job she just applied for. will have to wait and see on that one. but i'll surf around the forum untill then. hope that's cool

Nice looking car. You haven't hoonised it. It still looks pretty stock and is a real sleeper isn't it? Bet it doesn't sound stock. That's good power.
I have been to Adelaide a couple of times for the Grand Prix of 1986 and 87. We drove over in a mate's VH Commodore wagon 2.8litre once and I discovered what they mean by the term 'bump steer". Driving along a long flat section of road at about 130kph, we came to a rail crossing flush with the road. As we sailed over the slight bump, the car flicked its tail out while still travelling in a straight line. Not nice when you are not expecting it.
And we accidentally parked illegally when going to the race.(Iwondered why we were so lucky to find a place no-one had parked in!) At the end of the day we came back to find a ticket which got friend all upset. It was for $6! What a great town was Adelaide!
