When i bought my car the guy told me he had sick sound system worth around 2,500 grand..
Its got a Type S 12 inch sub wired to a 2 Channel (i think) V12 apline amp, and also type S 6x9 rear speakers and some sort speakers i front wired to the same Amp.
And the sub is ok but it sounds like its not getting its full potential, so i thought well speakers and sub going to the same amp isn't going to help, so i got a normal 400 watt amp and hooked it up to the Sub and left the speakers in the alpine V12 amp, now the speakers sound better but the Sub it was a bit better but it still sounds like it can get more.. so people was telling me i need to buy a Alpine Mono block to suit the sub.
So im saving for the monoblock
but this is the advice im asking for... is there a way to wire the sub to the amp to make it any better?

My guess is that its wired up wrong. The front speakers should be wired directly off the head deck itself. There is to much power being sucked out of the amp running the whole system. If i were you, id wire the front speakers off the head deck, run the 6x9's off the amp you already have and turn the gain up until its tuned to your liking. And then run the sub off another amp, say a 800watt mono block.

That sounds like common sense, thanks for the tip. I would of never thought of connecting the front speakers to the head deck.
The guy before got the sound system done at Setos, and the wires are really tight, its like they just fit, and you would think they would tell the former owner that the same amp running speakers and sub together would not work hey? (then again as long as they get paid who cares right?)

Pretty much dude. There are alot of places that dont give a rats arse about the quality of work that they produce. Thats why it pays to do your homework and talk to the right people, not drop kick fuck heads that will tell you that your shit smells like strawberry ice cream just so they can make a few extra dollars. Find a place with a good reputation and talk to them about sorting the problem out and getting it sounding better. They will be able to help out more.
