Just spent the day cleaning Vixen (& still not finished :() and thought I'd trial a new 2009 Meguiars product called 'Ultimate Compound' that I'd read about.
All I can say is WOW! Fantastic!
Being an 11 yr old, daily driven car she has a few paint scuffs, scratches, etc. But right now she looks great.
Although it hasn't removed all the imperfections it has certainly improved the depth of the shine and the clarity of the paint colour, as well as reducing the look of the awful swirl marks that tend to build up over time.
Thoroughly recommend it. Retails for around the $33 mark.

I would have, but it's been pouring rain all day and not enough light behind the rollerdoor.
When I finish her off tomorrow and weather permitting, I'll take some then ... just for you Greg! :p
Oh please, rain in Adelaide!!! You've gotta be pulling my leg! LOL ;)

Yes! Hard to believe, but true.
Cold, windy as hell and wet. Such a lovely day to be outdoors.
We had some minor suburban flooding as well. :lmao:

Mine's a 3 year old daily driven car with a few paint scuffs, scratches etc and the dreaded swirl marks....sounds like I might have to give it a go.
Thanks :)

We have an Auto Spares Retailer over here called Sprint Auto Parts. I got it from there.
I'm sure Repco, etc would be able to order it in for you, as Sprint's did for me.

Because your Helen is in the proverbial dog house at the moment and I'm sure, by now, has cleaned them both thoroughly, under your strict supervision!!! :lmao:
Vixen's all grubby again now, after all the rain yesterday, so pics are pointless. It will have to wait for another day. :(

For a really good shine here is some products to use in this order
Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash
Meguiars clay bar and mist and wipe
Meguiars paint cleaner
Meguiars Scratch X polish and
Meguiars Tech Wax
You will def notice a difference in how it will come up. Here is a pic i took of my wagon after using all of these. This is the old paint on the car. Not bad for 29 year old paint.
