I need to reco my diff

hi i need some info about recoing my borgwaner 3.9 hd diff
im pretty sure it needs a reco its single spinnen at the moment and i just emptyed the diff and refiled it with new diff oil + a addative both were penritte products the diff is in a vn 5l

there are some 2nd hand diff gears for one of these currently on ebay for Buy-it-now price of $200. You would still need a diff place to fit it all though.

I think they are the same for early commodores right through to VN. Also the same on some Fords (oh no!!!! not common parts with one of those!!) Not certain about the diff housing 'though.

I would try looking on and posting on some of the really big forums, and also keep an eye on ebay over a few weeks.

the prob you most likely have is that the cones need to be remachined and re calibrated, mien and my mums car had to get it done and they were about 400 each, now mine is nice and tight, so yeh, check with ya local diff/drivetrain place and see what they say
