You are fine with that manual. All you have to do is make sure that the accelerator is near the floor when you let out the clutch. The smoke pouring from the rear tyres is an indication that you have not stalled.

Har har har. My car has traction control, so no smoke, unless the tyres are on fire.
I'm still not too good with big windy (that's windy as in they wind around, not there's a lot of wind blowing) hills. Actually the VE's are pretty good. I can drive along at less than 5kmh, without it coming close to stalling, and it doesn't start to shudder until I'm doing less than 35kmh in 5th gear.

** Update regarding Brock Cruise on Saturday 5th September 2009 **

As you all know we will be having a BBQ lunch at the top of the mountain.

CCA purchased 5 kg of snags on the AHD that did not get used. With this in mind, CCA will buy another few kilos of snags along with some minute steaks, bread rolls, salads, onions, etc... with the view of charging $10 per adult and $5 per child for a great feed.

We will also have cans of soft drink (Coke, Lemonade) available for $1 per can.

For those that wish to bring their own food and/or drinks that is also fine.

It would be appreciated if everyone (CCA Members and Non-Members) could let us know if they intend to bring their own food or not so we know how many people to cater for.

CRUISE DETAILS UPDATE FOR THOSE LEAVING FROM PENRITH

Due to the amount of cars leaving maccas at Penrith it has been decided to stagger leave times.

On the day there will be 4 Groups of cars

Group One (yellow group) Lead by Billygoat will leave at 8:10am with approx 10 cars following

Group Two (Blue group) Ford Club will leave at 8:15am (all the ford club in this group)

Group Three (Green group) Lead car Calaisboy will leave at 8:20am

Group Four (white group) Lead car GKW will leave at 8:25am

each car will be given a cruise sheets printed out on different coloured paper the coloured paper will represent the group you are in.

Please everyone be ready to leave maccas at Penrith at 8:10am as we cannot be leaving late

ALL VECHILES IN THIS GROUP
• Please remain behind the lead car at all times
• Please obey the speed limit at all times as Police will be patrolling this cruise
• Please keep radio chatter to a minimum
• As there is another car club arriving at the mountain for a bbq as well, we must insure that we have the pick of the spots and required area for all members and parking

Cruise Details

leave at 8:10am
• 10:00am short stop at kirkconnell service station for quick coffee toilet break shell service station left side on the highway. At Kirkconnell do not spend anymore time then 20 minutes or it will ruin the rest of the day who ever is in charge on the day with the help of committee members must motivate all members to get back into there cars so the cruise can continue on time
• Arrive at THE mountain at around 10:50am
• lunch between 12.30pm and finish no later 2:00pm
• Depart the mountain between 4:30pm or 5:00pm
Activities
• Visit the museum do so before lunch
• Cruise the track and take photo's
• Visit Brock statue and take photos

5. Whilst on the northern rd, MOVE INTO RIGHT LANE FOR ACCESS TO M4 MOTORWAY 0.4 km

6. Take the ramp onto Western Motorway M4 7.6 km

just wanted to say to all who organised the bathurst cruise CONGRATULATIONS, job well done.

did something similar this weekend and the club commodore cruise was not only more enjoyable but much more co ordinated as you would expect from an official club cruise.

more than likely, i enjoyed my last visit, we drove from the Bunnings at Seven Hills to Bells Line, Putty Road, Lithgow to Bathurst and return
