hi all. I was just wondering. I have a x-force cat back system and i have a walkinshaw cai on my VE SS, thats all sweet. My question is? I bought headers and hi-flow cats all stainless steel the brand is x-force. I know you have to remap the computer after u install the headers and cats due to the engine light turning on, now after this is fixed will the engine light still work if other problems occur due to something else? Thanks.

Why dose the engine light turn on after changing the manifolds? I thought it would all be still cool as long as all 4 O2 sensors were plugged in.......

Otherwise, the check engine light only comes on when there is a issue regestered by one of the many sensors in the vehicle. Once rectified you get the code cleared & it all goes back to normal.

Hope this kind of helps.

how u going blown? The reason why the engine light turns on is, because the rear o2 sensor isnt getting hot enough and it sends a msg to the computer saying there is something wrong.

ss6ltr is correct.

On a different note (excuse the pun), how do you rate the xforce system? I am looking at getting the S/S 3" twin system for my SS, I have seen the xofrce video of it and it sounds awesome as a cat-back sytem and want to get it?

I've got a 2.5" stainless X-Force front to back (inc headers) on my L98 and are pretty happy.

Unless you are planning on some later future mods to the engine, or just want the louder exhaust note, the 2.5' should do you fine.

Have a chat to a good exhaust shop or two (I suspect you already know the best ones in town given your work). They will steer ya right.
