I was looking surfing through some performance sites and found this package localy in canberra. Seeing as how I cant afford the time away from home and work to travel to syd for the mods I plan on this is looking like a good option. The exhaust price looked a bit heavy. Im going in to see them and have a chat about what parts/brands/specs they use next week. Untill then here is a cut n past of the package option im looking at.

225kW - 235kW (this is what they claim to get from the following mods)
Complete Exhaust System - $2600
Custom Intake - $475
Custom Tune; LS1 Edit - $990

Like I said I dont know what their custom intake is let alone what they use for a complete exhaust system untill I speak with them next week. What I had planned on was a OTRCAI, MAFless tune and exhaust and this i guess is roughly that.lol. Ill post a link to their package page here.... http://www.gentechperformance.com/holden/vy_s2_packages.html

So yeah, what is the general concensus on this package?

It looks pretty expensive for what they are offering, i've been looking for the same stuff to get my new SS moving along.
Look at ebay and you can get a a mafless tune and OTRCAI for $600 if you send them your pcm or if you can't go without driving the car look for Oztracktuning on ebay i just received a PCM with a mafless tune from them for $600 and when i return my standard one to them they will refund me $150, which also happens to be the price for all of the OTRCAI on there as well.
As for the exhaust i've seen complete pacemaker package that has extractors,3" high flow cats, twin mufflers with a cross over pipe also for $2100-$2300, all of it will bolt straight on.
Hope this helps

I have an LS1 and recently spend $2000 to have a complete new exhaust fitted which included extractors, high flow cats and twin exhaust.
After doing this I had a dyno completed which showed I was getting 216.6kW at the rear.

a mafless tune for my car being an auto is going to cost me $950 and an OTR around $545

Thanx for the feedback. It helps to know what other people got for what they paid.
@ Sly How did the PCM swap go? How did it affect your car? How easy is it to do yourself?
@DAZ65W Yeah Im auto too. I never thought to take that into account.

The guy at autobarn today tried to get me into humex exhaust setups. He quoted me $600 for a complete headers to tips package and their info claimed 16kws gain on dyno for VY SS. hmmm dont know a thing about em other than what I was told today. I Dont trust really really cheap as a rule. So I dont feel into this unless someone can shed a light on them?

I put the new PCM with the mafless tune in last night it was really easy all you need to do is remover the air box and move the raidator overflow to the side and just unclip one and slide the other in also don't forget to remove the MAF. I also picked up the OTRCAI off a friend of mine he got it off ebay for $170 and it is a reinforced fibreglass one that will be getting installed tonight at the moment i have just setup a K&N pod filter. The PCM has made a huge difference with acceleration and power it's juts much more enjoyable to drive defiinatly a good buy, I also got them to change the way the Auto shifts to tighten things up a little until a put a shift kit and new billet servo pistons for it.
So after i send my old PCM back they will refund me $150
so all i would have spent is $450 for the Mafless tune and
$170 for the OTRCAI
It's worth every cent!!

16kw gain over a standard exhaust is not much for the money. Spending $1500 or so should get you a 40kw gain. My VTSS went from around 170rwkw to 212rwkw just by fitting the headers and exhaust and even using the existing cat converters. Save up and do it properly. You won't be happy with a mere 16kw. But you will really notice 40kw.

for 1 DONT get a cheap ebay OTR they are crap

$990 is about right for a custom dyno tune

as for the exhaust if it is a difilippo system $2600 is around the money
but you can get something as good for allot less

you can pick up twin 2.5 catbacks on ebay for $400
and a set of headers for $500-800
and a set of cats for $400-600

so if you want to shop around for a cheaper exhaust and get gentech to fit it and do the tune and OTR it will work out a bit cheaper
