I am looking for some help on a vr v6 that i have been pulling my hair out over,
it misfires when it is warm enough for the themos to have phased a couple of times. the scan tool keeps reading crank angle and DFI faults, it is running rich and the air inlet temp sensor reads abnormally high (70 degrees) when it misfires. we have changed both crank and cam angle sensors, harmonic balancer, DFI module, ECU, MEMCAL, wiring loom, oxy sensor, MAP sensor and it has both spark and injector pulse as well as fuel pressure and flow. has anyone heard of anything like this before i do not believe it is valve train or head gasket related as there are no noises and the car runs fine until it gets up to a certain temperature and then turns to shit like a switch

try the tiny gold coloured fuel regulator at the end on the drivers side rail, close to fire wall

I've heard of some funny things like this happening before and the cause was the coolant temp sender unit other than that try to go back to basics and check the leads and stuff
