In March! And tickets went on sale today, 3 days before pay day. Aaargh. Why did they have to pick the same month as Chris Isaak? Anyone wanna buy me a ticket? Or 2, or 3, or 4? :D

Ummm, I forgot that most of you won't know who they are. They play (shock horror) country music. They were here in February, for their first tour, and sold 40,000 tickets in a couple of minutes. See, country ain't dead yet!

Pffffft. If country is so bad, why do so many people like it? HUH?

It all stems from this.... driving through the south of America, there were a whole 3 radio stations available. 1 played (I presume) Mehican music. 1 played (I presume) Spanish music. 1 played country. Guess what I ended up liking? :D

So here's probably not the place to say I just bought the "best of" Billy Ray Cyrus?

Hee hee, actually a couple of the songs on it aren't too bad. There are a lot better artists out there though. :)

Some 'cuties' in Country Music too I'll admit.
Adam Brand is sooooooo cute.
Keith Urban aint too bad on the eye either.
Both Aussie fellas too! :D

;) *waits for Tiger's comments on Monday!*;)

Karen, you should check out Steve Holy. Also see if you can find the clip for his song "Brand new girlfriend". It makes you hear the song in a whole new light.
Big & Rich are awesome too. Since they won't come here, I'll have to go overseas to stalk them. Darn it!

Billy Ray Cyrus had a "best of"?

I'd sure hate to hear his "worst of".

Sort of like listening to an old tin shed in a strong wind.

They must have some redeeming features for them to make money in the business. Looking cute certainly is a start. I'll bet someone who could sing as well but looked more like Quasimodo would not exactly be raking in the moolah.

Getting the women hot and wet is half the battle. They are putty in his hands and he can manipulate them to throw money and nickers at him. No singing necessary.

I used to do it all the time.

Sooooooo. Tiger me ol' mate ............. the skeleton is out of the proverbial closet.
You used to throw your money and your knickers at the cute male country singers!!

Oh dear! :lmao:

No, I'd just get the women hot and wet. Your editing of the comment is a little off.

(I know....never let the facts get in the way of a good story.)

Mostly I had to use a bucket of water.

Woohoo, another one! I have to admit, I wasn't into country much before I went to 'Merka (that's 'Merkin for America) but some of their artists are fantastic. I'm hoping to go there to see Big and Rich perform live one day. One day before I turn 100 preferably. :)

I'd love to see Brooks and Dunn, but they're on at the same time as Chris Isaak, and he's my number one stalkee. The Brooks and Dunn tickets are a lot dearer too. :( Cheapest ones are $150.

holdenchickiebabe
08-12-2008, 09:09 AM
ahh ok that sucks but fair enough
wow are they sure the tickets are enough money lol

Purple_Power
09-12-2008, 12:16 AM
It's a bit hard when the tickets go on sale just before Christmas. Plus I still want to buy tickets to see 3 other Chris Isaak shows, and all the concerts are in March! The Who are touring in March too, and AC/DC are apparently touring in June, as well as Pink.
I need a toy boy. :(

holdenchickiebabe
30-12-2008, 11:58 AM
yea thats fair enough mate, o well always next time they come back when they do lol.. i wouldnt mind goin up to penrith to see joe nichols while he is in town plus he gonna have jasmine rae and steve forde with him so would be awsome lol will have to see what happens to wether i make it up there or not.

Keep your fingers crossed. I've decided to bite the bullet, and go to Merka to see Big and Rich, since they won't come here to see me. (One day, that is)

31-12-2008, 08:32 AM

I read their book, and they get up to some very "interesting" after show stuff. :D
Maybe I need to write to all my favourite artists and have them put on shows around the same time. :lmao:

holdenchickiebabe
13-01-2009, 11:03 PM

Gidday, I love Country also. Say do you listen to ACA on a Sunday arvo with Brooks (from Brooks & Dunn)? I listen on and off, depends what I'm doing. Here's a little showing off from me. I had the opportunity of meeting Garth Brooks. Spent a good 10 minutes with him along with about 8 other people a few years ago when he played at Newcastle.

Purple_Power
02-02-2009, 12:42 AM
You'll have to specifiy whether you're Georg or Esther when you post. Or Esther will have to get her own forum name. Actually the Brooks from Brooks and Dunn isn't Garth Brooks. It's Kix Brooks. Now how's that for a yeehaw name?

holdenchickiebabe
02-02-2009, 02:08 PM
lol cool another country lover lol..
yeah Kix Brooks is a pretty yeehaw name lol
i love meeting the singers, they are awsome people and stand and wanna talk ta ya for ages its cool..
Garth Brooks would be very cool to meet..
