Well it was a pretty bloody good turn out last night, 11 commodores in total if I remember correctly :)

3 from just commodores forums & the rest were our regulars, with Byrnzy making his first friday night outing & bringing along the family as well which was great to see. Thanks for coming out mate, hopefully next time we'll be a bit more orginised LOL but then again, if we were it just wouldn't be a friday night cruise LOL

Hopefully the next one won't be too far away, so keep your eyes on the thread & we'll get it sorted.

Ok so I was thinking about maybe doing another one on friday 05/02/2010.

This time tho I was thinking about doing a photo tour around some of the local landmarks, getting some cool shots with all the cars lined up........

If anyone's keen can you post your interest here, as the amount of cars that are going to show up will determin the places we can axcess with ease & the amount of organisation required.

The Crack Run is on near the White Ibis this Weekend near the Eagle Hawk Servo. It is on Saturday & Sunday Lots of Old and New Cars on Show.


To get there:

Take over pass to eagle Hawk Servo, After going over the over pass Turn left, then the first right, and follow the road down to the caravan park. its not the Caravan park behind the Servo.

Change of venue for the meet points are as follows:

Instead of meeting at the erindale & belconnen sites, we will now be meeting at the carpark next to scriviner dam @ 7:30 pm.

The reason for the change is to allow for some extra day light photo's before heading onto the night spots

Scrivener Dam is near the National Zoo and Aquarium I think..

I honestly have no idea - Lived in Canberra nearly my whole life and I still haven't been to the Zoo...

you can see scrivner dam to the right of the national zoo. axcess can be gained off either the parkway, cotter road or Clunies Ross St via Barry drive. The car park is on the oppisite side to the zoo.

Well it bucketed down all afternoon & well into the night, but we had the biggest turn out ever with a total of 15 cars in attendance!!!!

Big thank you goes to Greg & Grant for making the trip down despite the rain, hope you guys had a good time!! Cameraman was hopefully able to get some really good photos while we were hiding in the carpark of parliment house LOL

Great to meet all the new guys & girls who came out with us, hopefully we'll be seeing you all again soon.

To all the ACT members, had a great night...rain or no rain. Drove through a biblical downpour the whole way down, the night was kind to us re little to no rain or traffic in Canberra once there. Grant and I had a great drive back to Sydney...Hume Highway all to ourselves on the way back and not too much rain. Too easy. Got back safe and well in the early hours this morning.........

Was great to catchup with the local members and also meet some new faces on the night. My thanks too for everyone who turned up for the cruise. A great night.

Big thumbs up Ben for organising the night. A great photo op at parliament house, where we even found a potential new member who was waiting to pick someone up. He saw CCA roll in and he was like a moth to a flame....Piglet, if you read this, register now!

Have a great weekend all and we'll certainly be back for more Friday nighter's in the future.
